Horizon31 LLC has exclusively licensed a new communications system that enables users to reliably operate unmanned vehicles such as drones from anywhere in the world using only an Internet connection. The MAVNet technology, developed by the startup’s founders at the U.S. Department of Energy’s Oak Ridge National Laboratory, will enable commercial, governmental, and consumer drone use at scale, said the company.
